KUANTAN: THE Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (LAMP) can finally begin its long-delayed operations.
The High Court here yesterday dismissed an application by three residents to stay a decision to grant the plant a temporary operation licence.
Judge Datuk Mariana Yahya, in her ruling, said the contention by the three applicants that LAMP's operation would lead to environmental and health problems was too premature to be raised at present.
The applicants were Gebeng residents Tan Bun Teet, 64, Syed Talib Syed Sulaiman, 60, and Hasimah Ramli, 44, who filed their application on July 18.
