Assalamualaikum, rasanya ramai sudah sedia maklum bahawa sebuah kilang di bawah syarikat Lynas sedang dibina di Gebeng Kuantan. Kilang Lynas ni akan menghasilkan nadir bumi (rare earth) yang digunakan untuk penghasilan alatan berteknologi tinggi. Apa yang menjadi kerisauan adalah kesan terhadap persekitaran dan penduduk sekitar. Petikan ni aku ambil dari wiki2:

Seven of the leukemia victims died. After having accomplished the hilltop entombment of 11,000 truckloads of radioactively contaminated material, the project is expected to entail in summer, 2011, the removal of "more than 80,000 steel barrels of radioactive waste to the hilltop repository." One of Mitsubishi’s contractors for the cleanup is GeoSyntec, an Atlanta-based firm"
Nama Malaysia dah terpampang kat wiki disebabkan kegagalan kilang di BUkit Merah. China sebagai pengeluar terbesar rare earth dah pun merasa kesannya. Malaysia pun nak gak ke?

Kat situ aku highlightkan "world's most advanced tech comp", kalau dengan teknologi yang tinggi pun masih dikira gamble, Mampu ke Malaysia and Lynas nak menjamin keselamatan rakyat Pahang? Boleh ke nak elak sejarah BUkit Merah berulang?
